About the project
This infographic depicts information on inmates executed by the state of Oklahoma since 1990, when they began the first state to begin using lethal injections. Previously in 1972, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled the death penalty unconstitutional, as it was then administered. Since this ruling was over turned in 1977, Oklahoma has cemented itself as one of the world's execution capitals, and currently on a per capita basis is the state with the highest number of executions. The U.S. Supreme Court once again had to put a halt to executions in the state lasting from 2016-2020, after a series of horribly botched executions.

Project results
The best byproduct of this project was completing the capstone, and receiving the Data Visualization in Tableau specialization from UC Davis, which you can view here. However, I also learned a lot of new things in Tableau, like:
- How to layout a vertical interactive infographic, as opposed to a horizontal business dashboard.
- How to create waffle charts, doughnut charts, and inverted dot plot timeline data visualizations.
- Always watermark / credit yourself as the data viz author and double check your Tableau project settings to prevent unwanted downloads!
